Bhutto Movie will not resurrect her image sadly...

You blew up two excellent chances God gave you!
It is time to reflect...
For sure it is a great tragedy. No doubt about it. But is also a fact that it is an opportunity missed. An opportunity to etch your name in gold in the history of Pakistan, one of the two countries made on the basis of religion. One was Pakistan and the other Israel. Israel is one year younger and India one day. But look where they are standing today?
The only thing we have excelled in is corruption and maintaining the status quo. The Parliament continues to be filled with land lords who have no love for the people of Pakistan and hence make laws that suit only themselves. That is because they did not do away with feudalism which India did by enacting rural and urban land ceiling laws. There is not one case of massive and shameless corruption in the other two countries like we have of the times of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari. Why?
They already had wealth from the lands Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto had bought in Larkana when he was the Dewan in Juna Gadh besides what was given to him by the British. All she had to do was earn a good name. Wealth brings the luxuries of the world but it does not bring respect which Mr. Zardri is at pains to discover.
It indeed is a lost opportunity to bring name and fame to themselves and the nation. No number of documentaries will resurrect the image now. Ah Benazir! If only you had survived to do something big this time. But God does not for ever give chances. You have to grab them when you get them. For that you have to have your priorities right.

Helen Thomas speaks the truth and the Jewish media throws her out of the White House...

The head of the Press Corps thrown out for speaking the truth...
It is a sad day today. See what a vicious campaign was launched by The Zionists or Jews or Jewish media whatever you may call it. A carreer spanning 60 years came to an abrupt end. The 89 year old lady Helen Thomas always sat in the front row for all Presidential Briefings and Press Conferences from Kennedy's time. She has many achievements and books to her credit. She is an acclaimed and the most respected journalist of America. She headed the Press corps too. She has retired after an illustrious career spanning six decades because she told Israel to "get the hell of Palestine and go home, it is occupied and go home to where ever they came from, Poland, Germany, US or anywhere".
What wrong did she say? She only stated a fact that none can deny but Israel did not like it as she wants facts of history swept under the carpet. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HarA2mCrqjo Don't miss these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtnSZu978ZA&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4W_eZ6d1e6M&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zymcrA9jZ50 (Have patience the she will talk of the subject, worth watching).
I was watching and writing in her favor the whole day in Washington Post where an intense debate was raging, but she had to retire just because she spoke the truth which is good for USA but not for Israel. You criticise Israel and there you go. Had she told something about USA and eased out, it would have been fine but not for criticizing Israel. American interests are not the same as Israel's. And the way these Jews reacted, my God, it is mind boggling.
I thought it necessary to write on it. The lady was great. A great critic and one who spoke the truth as it is regardless of consequences. The Jews and the neo-cons must be rejoicing that she is no more on the front seat and facing the President.
The watchdog is gone and gone to please Israel not America. Some day sure Americans will realize that they should learn to be their own masters and make policies in American interests and not Israel's. If the comments on Washington Post are any indication then the writing is on the wall. You can't fool all the people all the time. The Americans are getting to realize that Israel has milked them dry with lot of deception and lies about the Middle East. They are realizing that Israel was not a good thing ab-initio.

Read comments in Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/06/AR2010060604269.html Read them.
This was the time for us to participate and register our protest but only very few did. Jewish were very active though and got her out. Hope the Americans realize how they are in the stranglehold of Jews.
Arabs cry in a lot in the world and in US but when it comes to seizing an opportunity they fail miserably. While the entire Jewish community was up in arms against her the Arab World, The Muslim World and The Arab and Muslim Community in US was mum and gave no support what so ever.
Yet Arabs expect solutions from America and the Muslim world blames America for every thing. You are given opportunities to display your views and take advantage of a situation by supporting some one who stood for you. Now she has sacrificed her long illustrious career for you and you do nothing.
I urge The Muslim World to stop constantly blaming some one else for their own lack of imagination and inaction. Please click all the links and read for yourself every thing.

Yet another black day in The Middle East...

Murder on the high seas!
Israel will get away with this too!
Why not? A wolf in the middle of a herd of sheep can do anything. A bull in a china shop can smash any thing to pieces. This is not the first time. Israel always does the most heinous of the crimes and gets away with it. Only a few like George Galloway shout but their shouts are drowned in the sounds of the guns and vetoes by USA. Click: http://www.vivapalestina.org/. Read, listen and watch.
Shame what Israel has done. Shame. Crime of the highest order. Israel had no business to go on the high seas and capturing a flotilla of ships carrying aid to the occupied area of Gaza and in the process using live ammunition and killing dozens of people. Israel is also not allowing any information to get out of the ships by jamming the equipment. The more you condemn the less it is. Read all about this on this blog Click: http://arabnews.com/middleeast/gazableeds/ http://www.haaretz.com/blogs/a-special-place-in-hell/a-special-place-in-hell-the-second-gaza-war-israel-lost-at-sea-1.293246 http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/02/world/middleeast/02flotilla.html?hp http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/01/AR2010060100548_Comments.html

I am not going to repeat it. I am going to talk about something else.
Lets take this opportunity to think, analyse and see what possibly can be done.
For a moment just think there was no Israel. Oh what a different world would it be. Hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved just for that. Imagine the money that would have been available for development. There would have been practically no problems. The world is full of problems because of this little bellicose state right in the middle of docile self hurting states.
First let us see how did Israel come into being. Who fathered it? It is said that Britain fathered it. Yest it is true but this illegitimate child was then brought up by United States of America from 1945 onwards. How did this come about?
Time permitting I will write Inshallh. You wont be disappointed. Keep watching this space.

Karachi - identify problems, solutions can be found!

Karachi has taken an influx of 10,000 people a day for decades... but can it for ever? This is a subject I do not want to write about because I hate racism, regionalism and favouritism. We must like or dislike on merit not any other consideration. For me all are Muslims and hence no problem. But it hurts when I see so much of killing. They are all my brothers.

In chess they say observers game is at the top. Similarly when things seem too complicated lets move back a bit climb a hillock and take a distant, detached and a dispassionate look. Then we have to look closely as well so that we do not miss important details.
Karachi is experiencing an influx of people at the rate of a minimum 10,000 people a day for a few decades now, as they say. Can any city take this beating and allow for urbanisation of this magnitude? It just does not have the resources to feed them nor does it have housing, water, sewage and road network. When you tax a city well beyond its limits, problems are bound to occur.
Where are these people coming from? From areas that are most ackward for whatever reasons. And they come with their own mindset of backwardness and lawlessness. They have made their own areas - "no go areas" "Ilaqa Ghair". No body can go in their so no investment can come nor development take place. The result is joblessness. People have to move out naturally.
They do not go to nearby Lahore or Islamabad but over a thousand mile away to Karachi. When such large influx takes place in an area, a friction with locals is not out of the ordinary. It is not unexpected. One solution is to develop those areas from where there is an exodus of people so that influx elsewhere stops. Otherwise Karachi will burst at the seams which it seems to be the case now.
Employment opportunities must be created in other provinces so that people get jobs in their own provinces and there is neither exodus nor influx in any area.
I have been hearing on television all leaders of ANP openly blaming MQM for every thing. This should not happen. No names should be taken lest you create divisions among people who are otherwise living peacefully with each other. They are dependent on each other.
I have heard ANP leader Mr. Shahi Syed on YouTube speaking to a gathering of hundreds of thousands of Pakhtoons and openly giving hate speeches and exhorting people for violence. He is dividing people. Creating hatred. He is not yet arrested. Such people should not enjoy the leadership of the followers of the non-violent Badshah Khan (Pacha Khan). Watch and Listen:
He hurls abuses and exhorts people to hit their neighbors. See how venomous it is and look at the applause on demeaning the compatriots. Amazing. See how the lady is openly threatening of bloodshed. This is no way of co-existing in peace having come from so far.
Claims that weapons is their jewelery. No respect for law, that is Shahi Syed.
They say Punjab is for Punjabis, Sindh for Sindhis, Baluchistan for Baluchis, NWFP for Pakhtoons but Karachi is for all. May I ask if Pakistan is not for all? He openly attacks co-citizens on the basis of racism. You don't share the city where you have chosen to come and live from a far with so much hatred in your hearts. This video is just a small example. Aa you can see on the video they are all armed to the teeth.
I have chosen to write openly on this despicable subject as anchors, guests and callers get away without naming those who exhort people to violence by preaching hatred. Preach love, affection, fraternity and patriotism, not nepotism, regionalism, racism and hatred. It is high time we called a spade a spade. It is not enough to call them the land mafia or the drug mafia. All residents of Karachi whether they are Pashtu, Sindhi or Urdu speaking are all Pakistanis and no one has more rights over others. All have a right to a peaceful co-existence. We are all the very same people, little differences should not matter. They are natural. Allah made this world this way. Who are we to defy Allah.
Media should not allow any one to come on TV and openly accuse and blame others thereby inflaming passions. We are supposed to show restraint and not air divisive views. I give credit to MQM guys they are at least shy to show racism by not naming Pakhtoons and refer to them as land mafia and drug mafia etc. But I am sorry to note people of some in the ANP have no qualms about spreading hatred and don't even put a facade of fraternity on them.
We should first think ourselves as Muslims. We are the same Ummah of our beloved prophet Mohammed, may peace be on him. We are all one. We are all Pakistanis. Once we do that there are no differences. We all have problems and all want a better life. Let us rise above petty things and think like one big community. One of the two nations of "The Two Nation Theory". Let us not forget that otherwise we degenerate into small tribes to swallowed by enemy nations.
Karachi is bursting at the seams! Stop urbanisation. Develop villages. Think big. Have a big heart. Make forgiveness your creed.

Political spokesmen of the terrorists must be stopped...

Don't give media platform to the views of the terrorists...
Peace deal is made by other enemy countries not with our own home grown terrorists who are aided and abetted by the religious parties and some who are the political spokesmen of the terrorists on both print and electronic media.
Day in and day out 24x7 there is a constant bombarding of USA without understanding the genesis of problems. Every minute we are confusing young minds. We have created a siege mentality of our young minds. Blasts take place, in a minute 300 women are made widows, 3000 kids orphaned, every body is weeping but you will not find the religious scholars coming and condemning them. On the contrary they give excuses that America is in Afghanistan, hence. Go and kill the invaders next door. Why kill our own people? They have the same answer. Let America go. For sure yes. But why are you killing our own people? No answer.
The anchors, guests and callers all love the blame game and no one, absolutely no one puts his fingers on the real issues. All are playing to the gallery. All are being populist with utter disregard to national loss. Each one of the guys above has one way or the other supported terror which they call Jihad. It may be a Jihad in Afghanistan but fighting a Muslim State and its army is most certainly not Jihad. Will some one tell them what Jihad is? Rest later Inshallah.

Ifteqar Mirza and Rehman Malik must resign and Dr. Shahid Masood eased out of media...

Karachi is burning thanks to the poor governance and poorer policing...
When a disaster takes place the authorities who are directly or indirectly responsible for it usually in a civilized world resign. But with us any disaster, mismanagement, bad governance does not matter. Whatever may be the consequences we do not resign. That is the level of apathy we have. Needless to count the number of mishaps and disaster. We are so used to it now we all know. http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/pakistan/metropolitan/04-karachi-death-toll-rises-qs-05
What is the solution? The solution lies in good governance and no body spared for their failings. From the concerned minister, top government official to the last man controlling on the street must be punished and fired for not doing their job and unceremoniously removed from service. Don't worry our population is large and if merit is allowed to prevail we will get excellent candidates to fill the positions. They will then do a good job because they will know their fate if they do not perform.
I hope the authorities are listening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh0z77imVUo&NR=1 Laikin ab dil bhar gaya.
And while Rome is burning Nero is fiddling. Dr. Shahid Masood with his pranks in the media seems to be the Nero. He has an ax to grind instead of doing his job of informing and analysing honestly without taking sides. Wish he had done journalism from Lahore instead of medicine from Karachi and wasting a medical seat.

Constantly increasing salaries will kill the economy...

Bring down inflation
Help people buy more with the same money!
It hurts when you hear politicians for petty gains talk of increasing salaries and anchors and guests gloating about it. Have they any idea how dangerous inflation is?

Concerned countries and governments dread inflation because it only destroys the economy. What is the point of increasing the salaries of people that only adds to the cost of production resulting in making our products uncompetitive in the world market. Besides, any amount of increase is not going to help as the prices will keep going up offsetting any increase - vicious circle. Better thing is to take deflationary measures. Bring prices down.

I wish our authorities had a moratorium on increase in wages and took steps to bring down costs which any day is better than increasing salaries only contributing to inflation. I was shocked to see salaries being used as a tool to get political mileage. Shahbaz Sharif did in Punjab and The Prime Minister did it for the whole country. This is deadly dangerous. What about the bulk of the employees who are not in the government. While increase in salaries may help some only temporarily, deflationary measures will help all for a long long time.

Remember how Margaret Thatcher the iron lady, resisted a coal miners strike for months on end only to ensure that an inflationary trend does not set in. And here we are unabashedly promoting inflation. Sorry. Do something positive. I urge the media also to take it up on a daily basis just as they took up a cause to push Musharraf out of power. Persistent media paid off.
Bringing down prices helps exports and makes the economy healthy...

Zardari's French Connection...

The Pakistani President bribes

Ali Zardari would have affected commissions in the case of the DCN submarines.

By GUILLAUME DASQUIÉ Special Envoy in Karachi

Le président du Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, le 12 mai 2009 à New York

The President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, 12 May 2009 in New York (AFP Chris Hondros)

This morning, in an annex to the National Assembly, parliamentary on fact-finding mission"negotiations and the three submarines Agosta 90's sales contract conditions""" receives the families of the victims of the attack in Karachi. Eleven employees of the Directorate of naval constructions (DCN) died on 8 May 2002 in Karachi, while they coopéraient in Pakistan to this contract.Search the causes of this attack, the judge does more favours the scenario of an Al-Qaeda attack, he explores two other routes. On the one hand, the assumption of an attack in relation to non-honoured occult commissions. On the other hand, the assumption of a coming attack penalize negotiations conducted in 2001 by France to sell submarines to India, the hereditary enemy - a possibility adopted through a DCN, Jean-Marie Boivin, in a recent hearing revealed by Mediapart. In both cases, "the importance of the subject justifies members seek to know the negotiations that have surrounded this agreement and its implementation details"."", explains the Member (PS) Bernard Cazeneuve, rapporteur for this fact-finding mission and member of the DCN fief Cherbourg - Mayor. Reasonable... assuming all French protagonists of this 825 million euro contract throw the veil on the schema of corruption it underlays purpose. Because malpractice which accompanied the military-industrial agreement date back to the top of the Executive. On-site in Pakistan, releasethus collected documents showing that the current President, Ali Zardari, could be corrupted 4.3 million dollars for this contract with France.

Accounts. Explanation: between October 1993 and November 1996, the first Minister, Benazir Bhutto, provides several official functions to her husband, Ali Zardari. The latter benefits to require commissions all-out in agreement with his wife. A feature that vaudra it "Mister 10 %" shortened and will cause its fall.Arraigned on 19 December 1996, incarcerated for protected a drug trafficker remuneration according to a letter from the Islamabad Attorney obtained copy.It mentions also several bank accounts opened in Europe. From 1997, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB, kind of budgetary discipline Court) takes list assets held abroad by the Bhutto-Zardari torque. Cooperation snap with the Swiss and the British. According to the Office of magistrate Swiss Vincent Fournier, that we have requested, these Pakistani queries indicate likely to generated illicit commissions for the benefit of Ali Zardari, including the DCN submarines contract contracts. Four years later, these initiatives are successful.

A NAB report indicates that 12 April 2001 British administration forwards to Islamabad nearly 22,000 documents relating to financial transactions of Ali Zardari. In the year 2001, financial procedures intensify against him. The set of documents sent by London show that he has received vast sums on the part of a businessman of Lebanese origin Abdulrahman el-Assir. It has been imposed as an intermediary ".""by the power politics" French during the 21 September 1994 for the sale of submarines, according to a former manager of the DCN agreement hearing in Paris. A British judge Lawrence Collins of 6 October 2006 order lists inventory transfers sent by El-Assir to Zardari: $ 1.3 million in twice, between 15 and 30 August 1994, one month before the signing of the contract. Then $ 1.2 million and $ 1.8 million a year later, between 22 August and 1ERSeptember 1995. J. Collins says that these payments correspond to operations of corruption. A few months before the return of Zardari in power, all prosecutions and seizures in Switzerland, has been abandoned, 9 April 2008.

Military. But the current Pakistani President is only one of the beneficiaries of these flows posted from Paris. According to the DCN financial hearings, commissions make a total of 10 % of this market of submarines. Divided into two channels: 4 % for policies (including Ali Zardari) and 6 % for the military. The NAB collected in Karachi reports indicate that the Chief of the Pakistan Navy staff in 1994, Mansoor Ul - Haq, has benefited from corruption. Stopped in April 2001, he was forced to render near relating to the contract of the submarine $ 7 million.

Ghosts that won't go away Islamabad diary

Friday, November 13, 2009
Ayaz Amir

In the field of high, or surreptitious, finance our dear president has been much too successful for his own good. Fortune may have been kind to him and he may have clambered up the greasy pole to occupy the highest office in the land, but what price this glory when the echo of some of his more spectacular achievements just won't go away?

A dozen NROs will not wash the name of Cotecna, the Swiss firm said to have given huge kickbacks for a customs inspection contract during the golden days of Mohtarma's first premiership. The famous Queen's necklace which later figured high in the allegations brought against the ruling couple (it was truly that) was said to have been paid for out of the Cotecna kickbacks.

The cases in Swiss courts which arose out of that affair if taken to their logical conclusion could have spelt serious international trouble for those figuring in it (I am being coy with names because after Ms Bhutto's all too tragic assassination taking her name in connection with these sordid events is not easy). But Pervez Musharraf's domestic necessities arose to the defence of the Cotecna principals. The Swiss cases magically melted away but their dim memory remains, a reminder, if nothing else, of how what could have been a fairy tale -- Ms Bhutto's premiership -- became mired in controversy and scandal.

My telephone number in Islamabad in those distant days was 826611 while the number of the Prime Minister's house was 816611. And since telephone lines then were not what they are now -- Pakistan not having quite entered the digital or optic fibre age -- it was not uncommon for calls to slip from one line to the other. So it was that sometimes to my amusement, at other times to my great annoyance, I used to receive calls meant for the Prime Minister's house.

Once, cross my heart, I got a call from Geneva from a Mr Schlegelmilch (I hope I have got his name right) who wanted to be put through to Mr Zardari. I pretended to be someone associated with Mr Zardari and said that he could tell me whatever he had to say in the fullest confidence. But Mr Schlegelmilch was too smart to fall for this. It later transpired that he was the go-between in the Cotecna affair and received a handsome cut for his pains. (I am not making this up. I wrote about it at the time.)

Part of the mythology to which the political class subscribes in Pakistan is that no sooner is a political government in place than the military establishment and the intelligence agencies start conspiring against it. While true to a great extent, this alone does not account for the fingers pointing at civilian shenanigans. Cotecna and the Queen's necklace were not scandals invented by ISI or Military Intelligence. They were real happenings scripted and performed by those then in power. ISI or MI may have made the most of them. But that's something else. Chinks in your armour don't expect your enemies not to exploit.

True, Mr Zardari then was neither president nor prime minister. But he was the first husband and as Nancy Reagan once said of her time as first lady, being close to someone -- her actual words were a bit different -- gives you unbeatable access. Mr Zardari did not have to hold any position to be a big player, or rather the biggest player, in the realm of high finance. In fact so great was the buzz in those days about his stupendous skill in financial matters that he earned the lasting sobriquet Mr Ten Percent. He can become the pope tomorrow and this tag won't leave him. Like ghosts, some other things too just don't go away.

So it is a bit disingenuous of Mr Farhatullah Babar, the ubiquitous presidential spokesman, to aver that Mr Zardari could have had nothing to do with the submarine affair -- the taking of kickbacks in a contract for the supply of three French Agosta submarines in 1994 -- because he was neither president nor prime minister, nor minister of defence. Adnan Khashogi was the biggest name in Saudi defence deals in the 1980s and 1990s, his kickbacks running into the billions. But he was no minister of defence or civil aviation. He was a high-flying entrepreneur who operated from the shadows, as such men must, making and cutting big-time deals.

Kashogi operated out of Lebanon. Mr Zardari did one better. For the hectic philanthropy which was his speciality, he operated out of the Prime Minister's house. We must hand it to the man for another reason: the boldness of his imagination knew no bounds. For recreation purposes he had horse stables set up in the grounds of the PM's house. No one had done anything of the kind before. There were so many other things Mr Zardari did which no one had done before. In more senses than one, therefore, he remains one of a kind.

The media will sorely miss him when he is no longer there to write about. In fact if the media had a heart -- about which most people will have the gravest doubts -- it would give Mr Zardari a medal for being the most write-able figure that there has been in our history. Musharraf was good copy too, but not as much as Mr Zardari. In the media's hall of fame he deserves an honoured place.

I wrote about the submarine affair too in 1994. The air was rife with rumours about the then naval chief, Admiral Mansur-ul-Haq, and a go-between, Amer Lodhi, being involved in the kickbacks accruing from that contract. Nothing was ever proved but then that's one of the greatest things about our Islamic Republic: nothing ever gets proved and so, happily, no one is ever punished. In this sense, in one form or the other, Pakistan has been living on NROs since its birth. The only difference is that while there have been previous whitewashes none has had as beguiling and innocent a name as the National Reconciliation Ordinance. The artist who thought of the name deserves an award.

I may add that because of the submarine column I wrote, I and the paper in which it was published received a five crore defamation/libel notice from Mr Zardari's lawyer. Thankfully it wasn't pursued beyond that first move.

But returning to Mr Zardari, despite his image problem, he -- counting everything, especially his ascent to the presidency -- has been a lucky man. But as his troubles mount his luck seems to be deserting thin. The general perception of him now is of an increasingly beleaguered figure holed up in the Presidency, his only communication with the outside world through his spokesman, Farhatullah Babar, whose word, alas, engenders disbelief with every passing day. The submarine affair -- resurfacing in the French left-wing newspaper Liberation -- couldn't have come at a more difficult time, because it refreshes public memories of the president's awkward past, when his main claim to fame was being Mr Ten Percent.

The allegation that the terrorist attack on the Karachi Sheraton in 2002 which led to the deaths of 11 French nationals was in retaliation to the non-payment of full kickbacks for the submarine contract I personally find farfetched if not wildly imaginative. Such an attack would have required the resources and the expertise of a full-fledged terrorist syndicate. To attribute it to Mr Zardari, as Liberation seems to do, is to stretch the limits of credulity and give him a more evil look than he deserves. But the kickbacks are a different matter. Allegations about them were widely believed when the contract was being finalised.

But we are in a terrible bind. Here we have all these tales of corruption and it is no cause for comfort when every footprint should be leading -- how is one to put this? -- where it should not lead. But many of us are also prey to the fear that if there are forces out to get the president and somehow they succeed, we will end up with not a purified democracy but, most likely, no democracy at all.

Talk of being between the devil and the deep sea: either Zardari or perdition. The fairies could have dealt us a better hand. But this is the one we have and the one we will have to live with for the time being.

The batsmen must learn from the bowlers...

Hats off to Aamer and Ajmal!
They are in the company of Vivian Richards and Holding...
Bravo well done. Loosing is no problem but the way our batsman caved in is a shame. Now Amer becomes only the second highest in history along with Ajmal to hold a record partnership of 103 for the last wicket just three runs behind Richards and Holding.
A 17 year batting like pro.
These boys showed the earlier batsmen who all gifted away their wickets, how to bat. Believe me it was a sterling performance. What we saw was incredible a 17 year batting like pro. But what went wrong with our batsmen? Barring Salman Butt and Razzakh who were unlucky, all of them gifted their wickets basically chasing wide balls and playing unnecessary pull shots. None of them got out to a good delivery.
Why did the batsmen hurry?
Where was the hurry? The target was small, you guys could have easily cruised along. As a friend said are these guys drugged or what to be so foolishly gifting away wickets? Had they become zombies?
It is not easy to get the National Cap, value it...
Don't they value their cap? Just see millions don't ever get to wear the Pakistan cap and we have our players wasting their opportunities. Who so ever does not perform and gets out to a loose shot by sheer carlessness or bowls erratic must be dropped for the next match however great the player he is, even if he is the captain. They must know it is not easy to don the Pakistan cap. They better value it or be prepared to be unceremoniously kicked out.
PCB could not manage big talent...
With world class bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar, who our PCB had not the talent to manage, Mohammed Asif the line and length bowler la McGrath, if only we had as great batsmen equally committed, there is no team in the world that we cannot consistently beat. They better learn from Amer and Ajmal how to concentrate and bat.
Non Cricketing Shots don't take you far...
Do our batsmen need to be told that they should not play non-cricketing strokes? Is the highly talented Afridi listening? You don't necessarily have to make a non-cricketing stroke to score and in doing so you always get out cheap. For God's sake please value your cap.
1975 World Cup Semi final remembered...
I was hoping and praying they will repeat the performance of DL Murray and Andy Roberts when they defied us victory in the semi final of 1975 World Cup when we had run out of bowling options. The boys today tried hard but sadly could not give the final push like the Pathan brothers once did for India against Srilanka. They are still young and will learn with time. But I loved their spirit.
