Ifteqar Mirza and Rehman Malik must resign and Dr. Shahid Masood eased out of media...

Karachi is burning thanks to the poor governance and poorer policing...
When a disaster takes place the authorities who are directly or indirectly responsible for it usually in a civilized world resign. But with us any disaster, mismanagement, bad governance does not matter. Whatever may be the consequences we do not resign. That is the level of apathy we have. Needless to count the number of mishaps and disaster. We are so used to it now we all know. http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/pakistan/metropolitan/04-karachi-death-toll-rises-qs-05
What is the solution? The solution lies in good governance and no body spared for their failings. From the concerned minister, top government official to the last man controlling on the street must be punished and fired for not doing their job and unceremoniously removed from service. Don't worry our population is large and if merit is allowed to prevail we will get excellent candidates to fill the positions. They will then do a good job because they will know their fate if they do not perform.
I hope the authorities are listening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh0z77imVUo&NR=1 Laikin ab dil bhar gaya.
And while Rome is burning Nero is fiddling. Dr. Shahid Masood with his pranks in the media seems to be the Nero. He has an ax to grind instead of doing his job of informing and analysing honestly without taking sides. Wish he had done journalism from Lahore instead of medicine from Karachi and wasting a medical seat.
