When a disaster takes place the authorities who are directly or indirectly responsible for it usually in a civilized world resign. But with us any disaster, mismanagement, bad governance does not matter. Whatever may be the consequences we do not resign. That is the level of apathy we have. What is the solution? The solution lies in good governance and no body spared for their failings. From the concerned minister, top government official to the last man controlling on the street must be punished and fired for not doing their job and unceremoniously removed from service. Don't worry our population is large and if merit is allowed to prevail we will get excellent candidates to fill the positions. They will then do a good job because they will know their fate if they do not perform.
