Why is every thing in future tense please? What is the accomplishment yet Sir? You have already increased inflation since your arrival and the beasts are not even afraid to continue killing with gay abandon. Is "dafaa khayali palau na pakayen" please. Where is the money for your grandiose plans? There are many lacunas in your speech and is conspicuous by the absence of important policy statements. Speech is well written and will definitely impress the un-informed. I wouldn't call it fooling the uneducated!

There is no mention of the root cause of all problems that is the zamindari and sardari system, in English we call it feudalism. There is no mention of it at all nor any mention of land reforms for this agrarian country. There is no mention of building a strong and honest merit based Civil Service that is the framework by which good governance is done. There is no mention of Judicial Reforms that are long over due.

In short there is no mention of any Structural Reforms. It is not the job of the Prime Minister to do projects. You set in motion a policy and people do it. Policy benefits accrue to millions of people not few. You give them the right environment and then regulate properly that is being a good Prime Minister. Create an environment Sir. We are a nation of brilliant people all we need is Law and Order and a Government that understands governance has a road map in all areas and knows how to kick start an economy not run it.

I am fairly disappointed by your speech although it was nice to hear you talk at least. But when you analyse  it seems to be just a hollow promise coz you don't have the basics right and the systems around it are not in place to support it. How will you sustain them? I hope and pray that you are able to do what you promise and prove me wrong. 

I do not want to go into specifics now suffice me to say you have not addressed the power issue rightly. No that is not the route. There are better and far cheaper solutions. The transport system idea is good but let it not be just on paper. To start with revive the circular railway in Karachi that will help all. You can later or simultaneously do the metro project. Yet you are thinking laterally and you won't find the right solutions until you think vertically. Specifics later inshallah.

You have solicited our ideas for Pakistan but you have not said where and how do we communicate with you? Allama Iqbal and Quad e Azam ka Pakistan - hope it comes about. Amen.

Feudalism giving rise to kufr...

Feudalism - pushing people to the limits of kufr...

Watch and be amazed. These are poor slaves of the Choudhries, Vaderas, Sardars or one like them. The feudals are not only doing what they are but also leading people to kufr by making them kiss their feet and hands. The video is self explanatory what can one say. Feudalism manifest. The guy does not stop them.

The people should only fear Allah and fear the law not a person. The way they are revering the guy sitting and some behind him, is mind boggling. I wouldn't say they are doing sajda but they are definitely kissing the guy's feet and hands. Why? He is just another mortal. It is the fear of retribution that makes the poor guy do what he does. This should not happen. Only the State should be supreme not some individuals.

I wonder why the religious parties do not take the lead in this issue instead of becoming the political spokesmen of the terrorists and make excuses for the killings and refusing to condemn the terrorism that has engulfed us. Why does this issue miss their notice? Is it deliberate or out of fear I demand to know.

Even the richest man of today cannot have so much land. So how did these people acquire so much land? The Brits gave them to keep people down and under control. That was colonial governance. Once the colonial power left we should have corrected the system. Most unfortunately we didn't. Ayub Khan thought of it as he writes in his book in his last days when it was too late. His successors were feudals themselves and visionless dictators.

Pervez Ilahi once said in some interview that he made a survey and discovered that in Punjab 96% people had land no more than 12.5 acres while the rest 4% enjoy land the size of which you cannot imagine. This video is testimony of the state of people on these lands.

When will our legislators think of bringing in laws to banish slavery and such acts if nothing to save people from the fire of hell? Wonder how feudalism can go? If our neighboring country one day younger can do it why not us? Are they any better intellectually than us? I think not. The difference is in sincerity, vision and love for your own people and the country.

All political parties must have on their manifesto Land Ceiling Act. Mr. Nawaz Sharif should concentrate on such issues instead of instigating one people to rise against the other. Such abusive, divisive and vendetta politics will not work. He is not being seen in good light of late. Be positive man. Do something good of far reaching consequence. This applies to other leaders too. Focus on structural reforms not cosmetic. Big people do big things like this and take every body along not exclude.

One way to abolish feudalism is by bringing in Land Ceiling Act and implement it by limiting rural land holding to no more than say 50 to 60 acres per head (India is now thinking of making it 18 according to Dawn). At one stroke feudalism will go. Feudalism is possible only by large land holdings so take land away from them and distribute among the poor.

Save the people, save the country and save them from kufr too. While it will create self employment it will throw up common man capable to get into parliaments and assemblies that will make good laws for people and the country and ensure true development.

Benazir is indeed welcome but what about Asif Zardari?

Is your husband good in national interest? Ask the nation?
This is rather embarrassing for us and must be for Benazir too. I posed this question to the hard core supporters of PPP and pat came the answer "But what to do with Asif Sain?". People are worried. Genuinely worried.

They think whatever good the lady might do will be undone thoughtlessly by this gentleman. How can people forget his exploits when Benazir was in power. However much the media may trying to sweep his deeds under the carpet it haunts people without a reminder . Let me not repeat them all here.

How can this man be stopped? Is he in national interest, is a question the lady must ask. She is getting a third shot at becoming the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Can she let this opportunity also be squandered without making good history? I think she should not take this chance.

You know what the people on the street are saying? This baggage is coming along and the guy has his eyes on the $16 billion foreign exchange reserves that Pakistan presently enjoys. Whether her husband is corrupt or not and if he is a culprit is not the point. You cannot just ignore the perception this man has created for himself and thus sullied the lady's image.

Besides huge scams this man is linked to car thefts and how they have been recovered from Bilawal House. He may not have been convicted but no body can prove that he is all that innocent. His reputation as Mr. 10% and later 100% seems well earned. As Imran Khan had put it "bacha bacha jantha hai ke Asif Zardari chor hai". (Every child knows that Asif Zardari is corrupt). So his non-conviction is immaterial if Benazir wants to make it big into history. Can the lady ignore his reputation? No.

This time the nation wants Benazir to do things the world will remember her for. Not for corruption, loot, plunder, vendetta and utter lawlessness. The chances of her doing this will improve if she keeps her husband's greed and guile away from her and power.

Benazir, you already have enough money, now don't go for it this time left, right and center. Do some thing good for Pakistan so that you make history and people remember you as some one who was honest and did something good for Pakistan.

There is a lot of good you can do like introducing land ceiling to a maximum of say 60 acres, giving land to the landless, finishing off with the decadent feudalism, solving the Kashmir problem favorable to Pakistan and the people of Kashmir, education, industrialization, exports, better foreign policy etc. to placing Pakistan high up in the list of fast developing nations.

Let your agendas be worthy of the great nation you will be representing at the world forums.

Remember, you will never make it good in history with dishonesty and corruption. Allah is giving you another chance this time do good lest you be thrown out again by Providence.

Introduce Land Ceiling

Equitable distribution of scarce resources is the key...
Land is limited and people unlimited. Land cannot increase, people go on multiplying. Arable land is still more difficult to find. That means an ever increasing demand on this scarce finite natural resource. And here we have a person or two owning thousands of acres of land. Is this fair?

The modern civilised answer is, no. More and more people should have access to these limited resources. A natural resource like land cannot be allowed to be in the hands of just a few who may and may not put it to optimum use. This may or may not contribute to national productivity. It definitely does not contribute to national revenue as they pay no taxes on agriculture.

Can land be allowed to be the fiefdom of a few? No. Why? When large tracts of land is in the hands of a few it is called hoarding. The world abhors hoarding so does Islam in no unclear terms. See the life of our prophet, what a simple life he lead. There are hundreds of Hadith that would testify to this. With one having every thing and the other nothing it creates tension in the society of haves and have not. Their results are manifest in every thing from utter lawlessness, corruption, dacoity to illiteracy, mismanagement to poor national productivity.

We cannot have a society of masters and slaves in this 21st century. It is also misnomered as the ruling class and the ruled class. In a democracy can you have masters and slaves and yet call it democracy? A ruling party and an opposition party is acceptable but not a ruling class. Give me a break.

All countries have done away with feudalism. Even the most backward of the people Egypt has also addressed this issue by abolishing land lords and the feudal system. After independence India did away with feudalism by introducing land ceiling. England did this by introducing huge death duty.

But has Pakistan taken any steps to address this anamoly? Yes there have been two attempts 1,000 acres of Ayub Khan and 300 acres by Z.A.Bhutto, the former being a little bit more successful than the later.

Now every ruling party must have in their manifesto to limit land to a maximum of 50 acres of and irrigated only say 18 acres so that more people can have land. The excess land must be taken over and distributed among the landless poor and then the Bangladesh micro-finance system introduced to help them make it a profitable business venture. Then see where the nation stands. Tall among the comity of nations.
