Jaswanth Singh... vindicates our long held position...

A hero is a hero in India too...
He is saying what we had been saying for so long. Ever since I read three books:
  1. Jinnah of Pakistan by Stanley Wolpert, Pub: Stacey,
  2. India wins freedom by Abul Kalam Azad, US edition,
  3. Legend or Reality by Seervai Published by Army Press Rawalpindi.

I have been telling my Hindu friends who accuse Muslims of dividing the country that if it is not for the arrogance of Nehru and connivance of Gandhi the country would not have been divided. I told them Jinnah was not a selfish leader nor would he ever betray Muslims of the Sub-Continent. The trio of Gandhi, Nehru and Patel made it so difficult that there was no option but to go for a separate state for Muslims of the Sub-Continent.
Mr. Abul Kalam writes in India Wins Freedom that Jinnah had obtained the best possible terms for Muslims in The Cabinet Mission Plan. Nehru agreed the night before but went back the next morning. Even Stanley Wolpert testifies to this. So does Mr. Seervai who has written the book Legend or Reality Jinnah, based on 30 years declassified documents by The British Government.
The book has been re-published by Oxford I picked up a new print in Islamabad last August.

Now Jaswant Singh has re-iterated the same, he has just been honest with history. What is surprising is that the Hindu Mahasabha and The Congress which always used Partition to blame the Muslims and take away all citizens' rights from Muslims now acknowledges it. That is the best part.

He has been kicked out from the party who helped form and served for so long very diligently. News are that he is coming to Pakistan to launch the book. Let's give him a rousing reception and let the world know that we were never on the wrong. We had our legitimate rights and one great man had stood up for it - Qaed e Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah. In the meanwhile hats off to Jaswanth Singh. Congrats.

Land Ceiling... ours has not yet begun!

India is eyeing at the second dose of land ceiling at 18 acres per head.
Having reaped a rich harvest of the first land ceiling immediately after independence India thinks it is time to go for a second ceiling that will furthere release land from the hands of the land owners who may or may not be tilling it. Read Dawn:
"Steps to grow more food are linked with the land. Farmers have to be motivated to put in their best. India introduced some land reforms nearly five decades ago. It needs another dose to reduce the highest holding of 18 acres per individual so that land is available to the landless.

Pakistan continues to be a feudal society where both President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Gilani possess hundreds of acres of land. Once I asked a leading landlord in Sindh if he knew how much land he owned. He was frank enough to admit that he had no idea but took pride that two railway stations were located on it.

Bangladesh may not have big zamindars. Still the inequality in holdings is too glaring to be ignored."

To be continued.

When US cannot solve our problems why should we cooperate?

The Asst. Sec.'s interview was most disappointing!
Give me one good reason why should we assist US at all when US is just not interested in giving us a helping hand with stubborn and aggressive India who only understands the language of power. Read Dawn report http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/world/13+pakistan+highest+foreign+policy+priority+us-za-12

I sometimes wonder if these people know what is India up to. They do not know that India is nothing but a Police State. They believe in aggression and use of force. Our attempt to negotiate must not be viewed as a sign of weakness. India has just been put on the watch list also which it has been escaping for so long despite its terrible record of discrimination and pogroms over its minorities particularly the Muslims. Now that Christians at the receiving end too they have got active. USCIRF Annual Report for 2009: http://www.uscirf. gov/images/ AR2009/final% 20ar2009% 20with%20cover. pdf
Human Rights Watch report:

What this Assistant Secretary does not know that we won't be able to keep on listening to the dictates of US if US is not serious about helping Pakistan with its core issues. The big issue is Kashmir which India is holding against the wishes of its people. They talk of democracy which is the will of the majority. Then why don't they insist for a Democratic Solution? Is democracy is too much to ask for?

The Asst Sec. must know India's record of aggression always on false pretexts. It went and conquered Hyderabad against the wishes of its people just because the legal ruler was a Muslim. But the free will of the people was never ascertained because they knew full well they will vote for the immensely popular Government of Hyderabad. It illegally blockaded a land locked country and sent in army and air force to conquer a totally peaceful state. Similarly it attacked Kashmir on totally contradictory premise. It invaded Junagarh and took over, same with Daman and Deu. It dismembered Pakistan in 1971. So much for its designs on its neighbours. And you have a strategic partnership with an aggressor and flouter of UN Resolutions.

And see how India is consolidating its grip with over 700,000 strong army: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/news/india/No-place-for-separatist-thought-in-JK-PM-/articleshow/4896422.cms

And US wants to say not a word to India leave alone force it. It is high time Pakistan will have to take its own decisions and when we do that it might not be to your liking. As a sole Super Power you must help us with Kashmir issue before it is too late. For God's sake improve your image in this area and this is a good way of doing it. This will also stem any tide of terrorism that is likely to increase with problems simmering and people suffering under Indian occupation for so so long. It is the responsiblity of the Powers that be to solve these problems and not drag and drift endlessly. I hope US is listening.

Baithullah Mehsud dead...

But let there be no complacency please...
How ever good the news may be the army cannot let its guard down. The problem is not over yet. The rest of them must be caught, tried and punished if you do not want recurrence of problems. http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/pakistan/provinces/12-baitullah+mehsud+aide+confirms+death--bi-07
Some elements are trying to make a hero out of him and that is not good for us.

Ibn ul Waqth - Dr. Shahid Masood

He can best be described as
Ibn Ul Waqth
Dr. Shahid Masood can best be described as Ibn ul Waqth. When it was Pervez Musharraf's time I remember he would sing praises of him. There are so many episodes of him. Now he is instigating people against one person. Pervez Musharraf came to power under unusual circumstances. Pervez Musharraf was neither Mussolini nor a dictator. Dr. Shahid Masood could say what he could thanks to Musharraf who gave freedom of speech to this extent. A dictator does not allow it.

Now also he is pushing for forgetting NRO as the money has gone out. He does not know of principles. He must join a good school of journalism that will teach him how a journalist does not take sides. He is so restrained in criticising the government. He is not pro-poor but pro-rich and the landed class who has exploited the country for over 60 years.

Dr. Shahid Masood is doing nothing for the country. He is doing nothing for the poor peasants to release them from bonds of labour and slavery. He has to push for land ceiling that is at the core of structural reforms he is not doing any thing big like that. He is whipping a dead horse and calling it a revolution. He is not a journalist. He is a rabble rouser only. Period.

If Gojra happened in India 95% of time it is not even reported...

What a shame really. The act of a few puts all to shame...
See how the world The Christian and Hindu have risen up against Pakistan? They are c0ndemning us at all and every single forum. When thousands of massacres and pogroms have taken place in India they have been effectively swept under the carpet. They are not even reported or recorded. What are the lessons here?

We totally condemn any violence and harm meted out to our Christian compatriots. The more we condemn the less it is. Even if it was the desecrecation of The Holy Quran nobody has any business or right what so eve to take the law in their hands. The perpetrators on both sides must be brought to justice and fast.

If it was an Indian pogrom (called riots to lessen the crime) it would not have got even the headlines. If Palestinians had died it would not have been mentioned too and if Kashmiris died at the hands of State Terrorism it won't even be reported 90% of the times. Muslim blood it seems is cheap. That can flow unabated while other Muslims in comfortable situations can relax.

The lesson is see how Christians stood up for Christians. I applaud their concern for fellow Christians. But we never do that. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims die just across the borders in India and we do not even react. See forums of Washington Post or NYT and all such forums you will find fantastic activity and all are busy condemning Muslims and Pakistan in this case. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/08/02/AR2009080202011_Comments.html

People have ganged up and pounce on every single opportunity to defame Pakistan and Muslims. But do we do it when India offers so many opportunities and kills Muslims and Christians. It is time to think and do something. Get active. Take up your your keypads and defend ourselves. Please.
